David Allan Walker, born on June 21, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024 at 75, in Lakewood, Ohio. David was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, whose life touched many through his work, interests, and talents.
He is survived by his sons, Chris and David Walker, the latter of whom is married to Justyna and father to their cherished daughter, Riley. David's family was a central part of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
An accomplished swimmer, downhill skier, and metalsmith, David was a man of great skill and passion. His career was marked by outstanding achievements, including receiving accolades for his work making the spire topping Key Tower, the intricate staircase in the Gucci store at Tower City, and the refurbishment of the iconic Edison Light on the corner of Public Square. David had a remarkable talent for understanding the mechanics of how things work. His enthusiasm for engaging in various projects was matched by his love for listening to music, which often accompanied his work.
David's love for activity was evident in his enjoyment of bike riding, which allowed him to stay active for many years.
A memorial service to honor David's life will be held at Donlon Funeral Home, located at 15408 Triskett Rd, Cleveland, OH 44111, on Friday November 8th from 6-8 PM.
